A veteran of three wars and four "police actions" O'Sullivan is no stranger to combat.

During the Second Somali Civil War, the US came to the aid of its ally, Somalia against the Somaliland insurgents. O'Sullivan and his unit, being part of the 5th Special Forces Group were inserted into the heart of Somaliland, a place they would stay for three times the standard 6 months. Over time though, they grew in popularity with the people who surrounded them, eventually training an unconventional warfare unit within Somaliland that would be loyal to the Somali regime. Leading the rebels in numerous engagements, the Green Berets were successful in their mission of securing a base of operations for Somali troops to pour in and secure the territory.
Personal life
Conor was born in Iowa on 07/26/2000. Like so many other kids he grew up idolizing soldiers. His father, who had served in Afghanistan as a Ranger was killed in combat, as the Army said "In an undisclosed location" Conor's mother was devastated, killing herself with a handful of sleeping pills and a bottle of vodka. Conor was sent to his grandparents who, through his childhood regaled him with stories of his heroic father. Conor loved those stories, although it never healed the dull ache in the pit of his chest that rose when he thought of those stories. He would let it help him though. And soon he graduated from his high school Sudatorian. He had several colleges offering him scholarships, but instead of taking that route to life, he signed the dotted line in his local MEPS station the day he turned 18. Wanting nothing more than to be a Ranger, he worked his ass off. And then he got a chance at his wish. Soon, after 61 days, he was a Ranger. He wore that tab with pride. Less than three months, war would break out between Saudi Arabia and Iran, with the US siding with their ally, Saudi Arabia. He would get a saste of how brutal war really was in this part of the world. During one outing, his platoon would lose 12 men. After four hours though, not a single one of the enemy was alive. This was his first real war. More would come. Much more.
*Unconventional warfare targets civilian population psychologically to win hearts and minds, and only targets military and political bodies directly, seeking to render the military proficiency of the enemy irrelevant. Limited conventional warfare tactics can be used unconventionally to demonstrate might and power, rather than to substantially reduce the enemy's ability to fight. In addition to the surgical application of traditional weapons, other armaments that specifically target military can be used are: nuclear weapons, incendiary devices, or other such weapons.
Special Forces, inserted deep behind enemy lines, are used unconventionally to train, equip, and advise locals who seek to change their oppressive regimes. They can also spread subversion and propaganda, while they aid native resistance fighters, to ultimately cause a hostile government to capitulate. Tactics focus on destroying military targets while avoiding damage to civilian infrastructure and blockading military resupply are used to decrease the morale of government forces.
